A balmy southern California evening welcomed Marc Ang, founder of Asian Industry B2B, and his prominent guests to launch People Encouraging People. PEP is a 501c3 created to impact California minority communities with conservative Christian values. Their sole purpose is to unite all races by informing them on important community issues that affect everyone.
Amongst the guest list on August 10th was Academy Award-Winning Filmmaker, Errol Webber. Errol is also running for California Lieutenant Governor and is passionate about creating socially-conscious films and documentaries in countries such as Zimbabwe. His presentation that evening was eye-opening to say the least. Elizabeth Heng, a former Congressional candidate from Fresno, also spoke that evening on Cambodian war images that were banned from Facebook as she tried to alert our world as to what’s really happening in that land. The keynote, retired professional basketball player Harvest “Leroy” Smith, Jr., told us about growing up in the same town with former teammate, Michael Jordan. His stories humored and touched us of his travels to other countries to play professional basketball while learning so much more about lesser privileged countries that it changed the way he lives his life today.
Marc Ang spoke on the purpose and passion of PEP and truly has a heart for people. He wants to connect, inform, and create a unified community. And he’s doing it! Marc is creating awareness in ways that others have not. In 2019, PEP has already:
Educated communities on human trafficking issues
Promoted quality school choices through a large educational fair
Tackled the extreme sex education changes in the California curriculum
Helped minority business owners empower themselves through entrepreneurial leadership
And supported local charities such as: “Save The Horses Today”, “Free Wheelchair Mission”, “The Autism Community in Action”, and more…
A rising tide lifts all boats. Marc is the rising tide. Follow his organizations, get involved, and ride the wave.
